Barefoot Mecate Reins - Real Hair

These Barefoot Mecate Reins are made from real hair. Primarily designed for using in conjunction with a traditional bosal noseband - or use as a rein attachment on a rope halter (create a rope halter hackamore).

The real hair option is used slightly different to the nylon version. The horse hair mecate acts more on the horse's neck. The braiding of the hair is intentionally a little rough. This helps to encourage light responses for neck reining. Many riders enjoy its traditional high quality look and feel. One end has a leather flapper/popper.
