Horses are grazers and nibblers, designed to eat and process roughage 24 hours a day. In the wild, horses have to consistently spend time foraging for food. In our lush green pastures on the farm, horses can overeat and fall prey to founder and obesity.

Slow feeders allow horses to eat on a consistent basis (satisfying their nibbling instincts) yet controlling the amount that they can access. In fact, some horses enjoy the puzzle of how to get the food they want!
