In September 2005, Candy visited the home of Freeform Saddles in Italy. A highlight of her trip was approaching a small band of wild horses in the marshes of Monfalcone, along the northern coast of Italy.

Annette Pulliam rides Grady frequently at a park near her home in Wichita, Kansas. Grady is an Arab-Percheron cross, 8 years old. Annette and Grady have been doing competitive trail rides since 2001. Grady is barefoot, treeless and bitless on most rides. Annette has been riding treeless since 2002 and loves her new Barefoot Cheyenne and EQ pad.

Jean Gunnari and Stormy trail ride along ocean inlets near Coos Bay, Oregon. Stormy is an Arab-Quarter, 15 years old. He loves to run in the sand. Jean and Stormy go out every week trail riding with the “Tuesday Ladies”. She has been riding in her Barefoot Cheyenne and Equipedic saddle pad since early 2004 and loves it.

Luisa Brollo and her husband Alex trail ride all around their home in Monfalcone, Italy, with her horse Ami in her Boa Boots. The area where they ride is called the Karste, an unusual terrain with very little top soil and calcareous rock beneath, preventing any above-ground water such as rivers and lakes. Instead water travels underground to the nearby sea. Luisa and Alex are members of Barefoot Italia, the barefoot movement in Italy.
