Coldflex® Vet Wraps are best described as being a self-cooling compression bandage for sprains and swelling related injuries such as foreleg and hock injuries. It has been designed to reduce swelling and relieve pain. They are the most innovative equine therapy on the market today!

The wraps are made from a stretchable polyurethane foam that is saturated with a 96% water-based gel that cools at room temperature, and you have the ability to wrap it completely around the injured area.

How the wraps work:
Simultaneously, while compression of the inflamed/swollen area is applied, there is also a deep penetrating cooling action occurring as the water from the gel-embedded wrap evaporates. This cooling effect lasts for hours, and won't cause tissue damage from excessive cold, as could happen if ice were applied.

While in use it many feel warm to the touch. However, underneath it reduces tissue temperature by up to 30-Degrees Fahrenheit so it does not damage soft tissue. it pulls out the body heat, and uses evaporation to cool. No forced-in cold.
