Cashel Boomers Hock Sock:
| · hock bandaging made easy! · Velcro® closures · all-in-one bandage/closures |
· non-binding · vary strapping for firm fit |
| Bandaging of hocks now made easier with Cashel's Boomers Hock Sock. Usually such a difficult task, these non-binding, all-in-one bandages allow you to vary the tightness of each strap, so that the wrap stays put. The closures are elastic hook and loop (Velcro®). Use over a medication, or with your favorite liniment. "I have a large warmblood gelding who moves around his stall a lot and kicks his bedding up against the wall. When he lies down and gets up he scrapes his hocks, creating sores that are difficult to treat and that he constantly re-injures. The Hock Sock is the first protective bandage I have been able to keep on him that allows him to heal and prevents him from getting new injuries." Jim R, Southern Pines, N. Carolina. |

BOOMER'S BANDAGES
Why are Cashel's Boomer's Bandages superior to other leg wraps?
Leg wrapping is difficult and time consuming to do correctly. Too tight a wrap can constrict blood flow and cause tissue damage. Too loose a wrap does not support the leg and eventually slides down. In addition, most leg wrapping is done with two pieces of material; a soft quilted material held to the leg with a bandage. It often seems that you need three hands to get the job done properly!
With its one piece construction and wide elastic sewn to each strong Velcro type closure, Boomer's Bandages can be put on quickly and firmly without fear of over-tightening. Due to the stretch in the closures, you can also "crisscross" the straps and vary the pressure at a specific spot without binding the tendons. This is particularly helpful when using the Boomer's Hock Sock since hocks are so difficult to bandage.
In addition, these bandages are easy to machine wash and dry (be sure to roll loosely and attach Velcro strips so they do not pick the soft interior material during the wash and dry cycle). They also eliminate tedious rolling of bandage material.
