Using the same time-tested formula used in Endura-Max, Endura-Max Plus has been made into a paste with the added benefit of a buffering agent that supports normal digestive function during times of stress.Endura-Max Plus:

For immediate oral supplementation or preloading prior to a competition, use one-half to one tube of Endura-Max Plus. During a competition, a horse should receive one tube at each vet check.
Why Feed Electrolytes:
When endurance horses sweat, electrolyte reserves within the body are depleted. Because electrolyte balance is critical for maintenance of health and performance, replacement of lost electrolytes is wise. Endura-Max is formulated to restore key electrolytes lost in sweat, including sodium, chloride, and potassium.
Unlike other electrolytes, Endura-Max also contains calcium and magnesium, minerals that may be depleted in high levels in horses subjected to low-intensity, long-duration exercise. Endura-Max is: A concentrated electrolyte That contains little sugar Yet supports normal hydration And is easy to administer (just mix into the feed)
Feeding Directions & General Guidelines
The actual amount of electrolyte supplementation needed will depend on the level of exercise, temperature, and humidity.
During competition: Because of the tremendous sweat loss during a competitive ride, an endurance horse should receive 2 oz the night before, 2 oz prior to starting, and 2 oz at every vet check.
Daily Supplementation: Daily supplementation of electrolytes to an endurance horse is discretionary.
While Traveling or in Hot Environments: A normal maintenance intake for horses at rest in hot environments or those being transported in hot weather is 1 oz per day. Horses at moderate work levels should receive 2-3 oz per day, and those in heavy training require 3-4 oz per day.
It is recommended to divide daily doses of 3-4 oz into separate feedings.

What makes Endura-Max unique for endurance horses?
Unlike most popular electrolytes, Endura-Max contains added calcium and magnesium. During long rides, calcium and magnesium may be lost in amounts high enough to result in metabolic disorders such as thumps and tying-up. Calcium and magnesium are added to Endura-Max in highly available forms. Many commercial electrolytes contain as much as 85% dextrose (sugar). The concentration of electrolytes in Endura-Max is uniquely high as it contains less than 15% sugar.
Important Note If a horse is unwilling to drink water, electrolytes should not be given without the supervision of a veterinarian. Always provide horses receiving electrolyte supplementation with free-choice, clean water. Lack of adequate water in a diet supplemented with electrolytes may lead to dehydration and other serious metabolic disorders.
