The Barefoot HorseTherm Heat Blanket provides warmth without electricity. This blanket is a rug made of fleece, with 5 fitted pockets built into it. These pockets hold heat pillows (included) in place.

Heat Pillows:
Contain a salt-hydrate which heats up, then crystallizes when a metal plate inside is bent. It then works by radiating a temperature of about 140ºF (60ºC ). They are reusable - simply heat them up by immersing in a hot water bath. This liquifies the salt-hydrate. They store easily until you need them again.

From the pockets in the rug, these heat pillows warm up the back and trapezius muscles on your horse. The heating works for approximately one hour. Heat will help not only in case of back problems and pain, but also prevents any problems. Great to use before riding! They ease tensed up muscles which can cause these types of problems.

Applying heat before a ride, works to supply muscles with blood - helping your horse to move much more freely, and thus will tighten up less.

Great for therapy use on older horses. Use prior to a massage, in order to cool off faster. Why use a costly solarium when you can just use this rug?

Also great to use in so many situations. It might be that you only have an open shelter, or be at a horse event with no power plug in sight! With this blanket you won't need a power plug!
