Advanced Biological Concepts Ride-Rite Electrolytes is the perfect combination for your horse when electrolytes are out of balance. Electrolytes are essential to the body for normal function and electrolyte balance is important to maintain. Deficiencies in electrolytes typically occur due to prolonged physical exertion - when your horse sweats he loses water, and these primary electrolytes. He most needs to be provided with electrolytes during warm weather and over periods of extensive exercise. Your horse may also lose electrolytes during a bout of diarrhea.

It is suggested that Ride-Rite Electrolytes be used on your horse whenever dehydration would be a concern - particularly in cases of strenuous work or competition, when electrolytes  should be administered pre, during or post this kind of activity.

Vitamin B6: This vitamin controls sodium to potassium levels in body fluids. Lack of B6, in ratio to potassium can cause swelling of tissues in the legs, and this can persist. Additionally B6 can reduce the risk of anemia by increasing the availability of iron.

Vitamin C (in the form of Ester C): Vitamin C is quickly used up when sweat glands are overworked. When sweat glands are overworked this can weaken their normal function, and performance of your horse is affected.

The primary electrolytes are sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium and magnesium.
