3. Trailer Set Up:

1. Insert a 9V battery into the battery compartment.
2. Turn the On/Off switch to the OFF position.
3. Use the clamping base to mount the camera next to an opened window or panel.
The clamping base can be clamped onto any pole or board which is less than 2.25" diameter, thick.
Choose your mounting spot and tighten the clip bolt on the clamping base.
4. Loosen the tilt lock knob.
Adjust the camera by pointing it in the direction you wish to monitor.
Tighten the tilt lock knob.
5. Attach the booster antenna (5-pins connector) to the camera.
Tighten the pin connector screw.
6. Position the booster antenna between window and bars.
Unless your trailer is longer than 40', you don't need to mount the camera booster outside of your trailer
7. Arrange the antenna cable neatly, for safety.
8. Turn the camera On/Off switch to the ON position.
4. Setting Up and Removing the Monitor on the Vehicle Windshield:

1. Attach the monitor to the suction mounting bracket.
2. Mount the suction mounting bracket to the windshield *NOTE* - see Safety disclaimer/warning, performance disclaimer.
3. Attach the 7-pins connector antenna to the monitor.
Tighten the connector screw.
4. Open the car door, mount the monitor booster antenna (magnet base) on the roof top of your vehicle.
OR ... for better result, mount the monitor booster antenna low and far back on the side of your vehicle.
(When using Trailer Eyes B2 set in truck and trailer setting, antenna rod can be folded down.)
Run the wire between the antenna and the monitor through the car door and car frame - NOT through the car window and door frame.
After the antenna is mounted, tuck the antenna cable into the edge rubber frame, then shut the car door. The cable will NOT be cut.
5. Plug the power jack into the monitor.
Then plug the 12V car lighter adapter into the car lighter socket.
Turn the monitor on (press and HOLD the "Power' button for two seconds).
Some vehicles need the engine turned on to supply power to the lighter socket.
6. Switch to the correct channel coordinate with your camera's channel.
To switch channel - press the power button and release it quickly - cycle through channels.
There are 8 channels to cycle.
Once the correct channel is found, the screen will show the object you are monitoring.
7. Adjust the position of the monitor, the antenna wire and the power wire to arrange neatly and out of the way.
Avoid interference with driver and passengers.
8. You should now be able to see the observation object in your monitor.
Adjustment of your camera angle and/or the position of the booster antenna for better reception may be needed.
To remove the suction mount from windshield:
1. Flip back the lever lock.
2. Pull the tab on the suction mount rubber pad.
The unit should come off easily.
Do not use excessive force to pull off the suction mounting unit - this could cause damage to the unit or windshield.

BEST RESULTS TIPS:
Minor interference will occur when using open commercial 5.8 GHz video signal technology. The running engine and motor will generate some interference and show in the monitor. Overall, 5.8 GHz channels enjoy much less interference than 2.4 GHz channels.
The range of the signals is usually stated based on line of sight. Which means the antenna of the camera can see the antenna of the monitor. The wireless signals will need about a 30' diameter clearing between antennas for maximum range. It is strongly recommended that the antenna be mounted 15' above the ground - otherwise the ground itself will attenuate the signal. The signal power will be reduced by obstacles such as trees, bushes and buildings - the more obstacles in between, the less distance you can achieve. Metal and concrete are the hardest for the signals to penetrate.
For best performance, please consider these few guidelines:
- the distance between the monitor and camera:
... Straight line. Clear View. No obstacles in between. Up to 1,200'.
... Camera in trailer - signal needs to go through layers of metal. Antennas can't see each other - up to 60'.
- Use a fresh, strong 9V battery to provide adequate power to transmit the signal.
... a 'name-brand' alkaline 9V battery can operate the camera up to 2 hours during the day.
... a 'name-brand' alkaline 9V battery can operate the camera up to 1 hour in night vision mode.
- Once you know where you like to clamp you camera, hard wire the 12V trailer lights power adapter to your trailer's lighting system. This will eliminate you worrying about changing the battery afterward.
- Mount the monitor booster antenna low and far back on the side of your vehicle.
- Camera booster antenna should be mounted next to an opened window or panel.
- Turn off the camera when not in use.
- When not in use for long periods of time - store unit in a cool, dry place.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
| Problem: | Possible Solution: |
| No camera picture |
1. Check all connections & power. * Lighter socket power - some vehicles need to have engine turned on to provide power. 2. Make sure the camera and monitor are switched ON. 3. If using 9V battery as camera power source, try changing battery for a fresh one. 4. Check camera and monitor are in range - see 'tips', above. |
| Picture interference | 1. Reposition the monitor's antenna. 2. Mount the camera next to an opened window or panel. 3. Drive the vehicle and the trailer for a short distance. It may be that you are in a heavy interference area, and by driving away, the picture will improve. |
