The manufacturer's specifications state that repellency usually remains effective through 25 washings.

Gone are the days of messy, ineffective spray-on insect repellents. The design has a super-sized tail flap, removable neck cover, great leg coverage and belly depth wraps - coverage from head to toe to keep your horse comfortable! There are heavy duty Velcro® fasteners which help keep the horse sheet in place. Seams are placed only in areas that won't cause rubbing or chafing.
