Easyboots have cleats on the sides to grip to your horse's hoof. If this is a problem, you can use these EasyCare Easyboot Cleat Cover Sets to protect the hoof from the cleats. The Easyboot Epic comes standard with a permanent cleat cover. The Easyboot Epic cleat cover can still be removed or replaced, but the front screw must be removed and retightened for removal or replacement.
