Kimberley Australian Stock Saddles with Horn

The Australian style Down Under Saddle Supply Kimberley Stock Saddles are appealing to trail riders all over the world. These affordable all purpose Aussie trail saddles are made with quality smooth leather for an elegant look and easy care. Australian style saddles provide the ultimate security for trail riders regardless of the terrain. It's built on a flexible, traditional wood and steel spring tree.

The flexible steel spring tree on Down Under's Kimberly Stock Saddles is a beefed-up, stronger version of a traditional steel spring tree. A traditional English saddle tree is built of laminated layers of quality wood, and reinforced with steel under the pommel, sides and cantle. The sides that run lengthwise are known as bars and are made with spring steel that has some flexibility. The Kimberly saddle's seat is built with webbing slung from the tree with substantial padding that provides a very comfortable ride.

Even though this Kimberley Stock Saddles has a horn like a western saddle, the basic structure of an Aussie Saddle is similar to an English saddle. The frame of the saddle is sturdier and a little larger than its English counterpart. The seat is deeper, and tends to be wider at the cantle.

This affordable price includes saddle, 2" leathers, stirrups, and girth!

The 4 1/2" deep seat and 4" poleys give you fabulous security. Length of flap from center of seat to botton of flap is approximately 24". Flap length will vary slightly with seat size.

It's also lightweight and easy to lift up on your horse - approximately 20 lbs. The wool serge panels in the medium gullet width with traditional flocking will fit horses with medium to high withers, and can be reflocked if ever necessary. Choose the wide gullet width for rounder horses, or send in a tracing of your withers and the gullet width can be customized the to your horse.

For the girth size, measure all away around your horse's heart girth. Click on Sizing and Measurements tab for instructions on how to measure for your girth.

Flap length: From middle of 18" seat to bottom of flap = 24" (This measurement varies slightly according to seat size)

You'll feel like the Man from Snowy River every time you ride in it!
