Zilco Deluxe Breastplates - Full/Oversize
A favorite piece of tack among endurance and trail riders, the
Zilco Deluxe Breastplates,
or breast collars, will go with most saddles and have tapered shoulder
and martingale sections, with soft "waffle" padding under Zilco's
special strength straps which are so different from BioThane® belting.
The design gives the horse the ultimate in comfort when hill work puts a
lot of strain on the breast collar, by spreading the load across more
than just a skinny, biting strap. The load and strain gets cushioned
exactly where it is needed, without requiring a heavy, wide, cumbersome
western collar.
This breastplate, weighing only 21 oz., is soft and pliable and the
material lubricates with sweat. All Zilco Breast Collars adjust for
small, medium and large horses with stainless steel conway buckles and
snaps. There are adjustments along each shoulder, over the withers, at
each strap that attaches to your saddle and along the strap that
attaches to your girth. All breastplates come with easy on and off solid
brass snaps that attach to your saddle and girth. All breastplates can
be converted for use with a western saddle by removing the wither strap.
