Myler Bits Parelli Cradle C2
The Myler Bits Parelli Cradle C2 bit has a low ported center barrel piece to give tongue relief, but action of bit can also act on tongue contact. It is a hybrid of ring bit, shank bit and hackamore. A purchase ring with specially designed connectors for the noseband and chin strap sits atop a large center ring where the mouthpiece is attached. Unlike the other Myler combination bits, the rein attachment is built into the ring where the mouthpiece is attached. The mouthpiece is the MB04 with a 1" slide before it reaches a stop.
The noseband is flat braided nylon cord and the chin strap is knotted which closely simulates the knotted rope halters commonly used in the Parelli program and other Natural Horsemanship programs. This provides a smooth transition from halter work to bit work. The cradle bit has the Independent Swivel Cheek.
Used in English or Western disciplines with an indirect action.
Myler Bit Level 2
Stainless steel cradle C2 with sweet iron low ported barrel narrow (MB 43LP, Level 2-3) Copper inlay mouth.
Working together since September 2006, Parelli USA and Myler Bits have designed a new Parelli Myler series of bits to compliment the Parelli Natural horsemanship program.
If your Right Brain Extrovert is now more centered and more advanced, then the C2 will be best. It offers a combination of tongue release and tongue contact. Right Brain Introverts fit in this C2 category also because of their hesitant nature. The tongue release gives them some invitation to come forward and yet it still gives them some support and emotional comfort.
The 43LP is a curb mouthpiece that does not rotate on to the tongue, but sits solidly across the bars and lips of the mouth. The port offers room for the tongue to pass under the bit easily. Because the port is narrow, when the reins are engaged the horse will feel a slight pressure on the outside edges of the tongue as a gentle reminder rather than a strong reprimand.
