Easycare Comfort Pads - Old Mac's And Easyboots Trail are a durable yet flexible foam that when used in conjunction with Old Mac G2 or Easyboots Trail help to create more natural mechanics in the barefoot horse. These pads or a combination of these pads can also be helpful for the laminitic, foundered or navicular horse. Pete Ramey has a wonderful website, www.hoofrehab.com, with many wonderful articles among which is one entitled "Boots and Pads: A True Breakthrough In Healing". This article gives advice on how to use these new pads to help your barefoot horse become a "gravel cruncher" in a shorter period of time.
The Comfort Pads are available in two sizes, small for boots up through size 6 and large for boots size 7 and above (Old Mac's and Easyboot Trail). The pad has ridges along which you cut for the size boot your horses uses. Cut them up, poke 'em in ... then you're all ready to ride!
Now available in 3 densities – soft, medium and firm! Give your horse more comfort and support in each step! These pads are available in the original 12mm thickness, as well as the newer, thinner 6mm thickness.
This
thinner pad option may be used by itself or stacked in any desired combination for your custom application and is great for modifying boot fit. These EVA Foam pads give horses with severe hoof conditions immediate relief.
