Barefoot Surcingles With Handles - Pony

What a great way to teach a small child to ride a pony! The Barefoot Surcingle With Handles for ponies has handles for security to ride bareback or with a bareback pad or saddle pad under the surcingle.

  • Use for beginner lessons, therapeutic riding programs, or building confidence with kids and their ponies!
  • Anatomically shaped handles
  • No "nut-cracker" effect - wither clearance
  • Made with real leather and soft padding
  • Barefoot Surcingle With Handles DOES NOT INCLUDE the girth. Use with any dressage length girth
The Barefoot Surcingles with Handles were designed for therapeutic riding programs. They are designed so there is no wither pressure or restrictions to the spine. The soft, wide padding on either side of the horse's spine keeps the surcingle in place and protects the spine. The handles are designed to fit any sized hands, making this a great tool for training, beginner riders, therapeutic riding, and even beginner equestrian vaulting !

The pommel insert with handles can be replaced with the regular Barefoot pommel inserts for normal lunging and training, turning this surcingle into a two-in-one training tool!

Barefoot makes a Barefoot Riding Pad for Surcingle to attach perfectly under this surcingle. Very comfortable for the rider!

The total length of the surcingle from withers to first hole for girthing: 21.5", last hole: 45"

Purchase the correct size dressage style girth to go with it separately. The Barefoot Stretch and Breathe Dressage Girth starts at 13.3/4 inches!
